Meet The Team

Nick & Stephanie Anderson

Co-Founders

Nick and Stephanie both grew up in Howard County, Maryland. They met in high school, stayed in touch throughout college, and began dating after they both had graduated from their respective colleges. They got married in 2016 and added a Siberian Husky named Princess to their pack.

Paul was born in September of 2020 and ever since then, Nick and Steph have made Boston their second home as Paul has spent most of his life at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Paul’s baby sister, Sophia, was born in April of 2022. Sophia was born in Boston too, just like her big brother was.

Nick and Steph enjoy spending time with their family, traveling abroad, and finding good Italian restaurants. They are so excited to honor Paul’s heart journey with this Foundation, and help give back to the heart community that has helped them so much along the way.

Andrea Corriveau, MSW, LICSW

Board Member

Andrea is a clinical social worker, who spent four years working in the Cardiovascular Program at Boston Children’s Hospital. Andrea was Paul’s first social worker, prior to his transition to the heart transplant team. She is thrilled to re-connect to the heart community through the Paul Magnus Foundation. Andrea went to grad school at Simmons University and currently lives in Newton, MA. In her downtime you can find her hiking with her dog, on a run, attempting to find zen in a yoga studio, sipping coffee with friends, or with her nose tucked in a book.

Kristina Gustafson, BSN RN

Board Member

Kristina is a nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Boston Children’s Hospital – and she was Paul’s first ever nurse as she took care of him the night he was born! Kristina went to Northeastern University and currently lives in Boston. Her favorite things include going to the beach, working out, and eating Italian food, and her favorite place to spend time is Cape Cod. Kristina is often known for having lots of energy and talking very fast.

Amanda Reilly, BSN RN

Board Member

Amanda Reilly is a nurse in the Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU) of Boston Children’s Hospital, and has had the pleasure of caring for Paulie since he was born. Amanda first met Nick and Stephanie when Paul was a newborn after his first surgery and remembers how sweet they were not only to Paul, but to all the medical staff that entered his room. Amanda is so grateful to be a part of this journey with the whole Anderson Family!

Amanda’s first experience of Boston Children’s Hospital started on what was formerly known as 8 East (now the ACCU) as a volunteer when she was in high school. Amanda remembers how hard the nurses worked and how compassionate they were, and this is when she knew she found where she wanted to be. In 2017 Amanda started as a Clinical Assistant at Boston Children’s Hospital in the ACCU, working there throughout college, and then becoming a nurse and working there ever since!

Amanda received her undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Northeastern University, and is currently enrolled in their Nursing Masters Program where she will get her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Amanda plans on specializing in Cardiology to provide advanced care to cardiac patients like Paul, and to help shape the future of Cardiology.

In her free time, Amanda loves to workout, travel, go to the beach in the summer, ski in the winter, try new restaurants in Boston, and take her 2 year old yellow lab out on hikes.
